Job Summary:
This supervisor is responsible for the daily operational management and supervision of the Cash Management Missing Payment Follow-up department at Eastowne. This position directly supervises 7 team members, and reports to the Director of the Physician Revenue Cycle; Cash Management. The primary focus of the team is to ensure accurate and timely posting of Physician Insurance payments; conducting post payment audits, including follow up with payers to determine the correct posting of Missing payments and denials. The position requires medical terminology, and Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care carrier knowledge.
The supervisor should also be aware of changes in regulations, reimbursement rules and claims documentation requirements. The supervisor conducts employee recruitment, hiring, trains, evaluates performance, determines workload priorities, creates optimal employee morale, and ensures quality customer service. The Payment Posting Missing Payment Follow up Supervisor’s normal working hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, longer periods of work and/or work at other times will be necessary to meet the demands of the position.
The supervisor may be called upon on a daily basis to switch focus from one task to another and must be extremely flexible. The supervisor will be expected to work efficiently, using good judgment.
Other Information
- Requires Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Public Administration, or Hospital Administration.
- If Associate’s degree, three (3) years relevant experience with at least one (1) year experience in a senior level or team lead role preferred.
- If High School degree, six (6) years of relevant experience with at least one (1) year experience in a senior level or team lead role preferred.
- If Bachelor's degree, one (1) year of relevant experience with at least one (1) year experience in a senior level or team lead role preferred.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, governmental regulations, etc. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or users, managers, external customers, etc. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
