Job Description

• Maintain patient daily census and service authorizations
• Input service data into billing system.
• Create invoices for patient liability processing.
• Process claims, post payments, and resolve denial and partial payment issues.
• Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided.
• Maintain accounts receivable aging.
• Report on billing activity, paid claims and accounts receivable.
• Stay current with NC Medicaid regulations, Medicaid transformation and MCO requirements.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Business or related field or 3-5 years' experience in a billing office
• Strong knowledge of billing UB and HCFA forms.
• Good problem-solving skills
• Self-starter who is proactive and energetic
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office application skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
• Working knowledge with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics and/or Therap is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
