FirstLight Home Care is family owned and operated doing business in Valparaiso for seven years. We are a non-medical, private pay company. We provide Companion & Personal for our client within their home.

We are looking for kind, compassionate, caring, mature and responsible caregivers to join our growing team.

• We have a need for Spanish speaking Caregivers at this time.
• Client lives in Munster, IN.
• Mostly day shifts, M-F 8 am - 4 pm.
• We hire all skill and experience levels with flexible schedules!

We Offer:

• Competitive Pay $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Qualifications Include:

• Must have a sympathetic and compassionate attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
• Must have the ability to follow direction, communicate all issues and log daily notes.
• Must demonstrate maturity, professionalism and the ability to deal effectively with changing demands.
• Must pass a complete background-check, including a check of criminal and driving records.
• Must pass a drug/alcohol screening.
• Must complete a two-step TB test.
• Must have a safe vehicle, valid drivers license and up to date auto insurance.
• Must be 18 years of age and are able to work in the United States.
• Must be a high school graduate.

Responsibilities Include:

• Understand and adhere to established FirstLight Home Care policies and procedures.
• Perform personal care as assigned.
• Report changes in the client's condition and any needs to supervisor.
• Perform household services for the client as assigned.
• Perform non-medical services and support for the client as needed.
• Assist with self–administered medications as assigned.
• Attend training and quarterly meetings as scheduled.
• Arrive to assigned client on-time as scheduled.
