Bilingual (Japanese & English) Executive Assistant (Full-time)

Job location: Manhattan.

Note: This is NOT a remote position.

Our client is one of the well-known Japanese financial institutions, and we are currently looking for an experienced executive assistant for our client in New York, NY. At this bilingual (Japanese and English) executive assistant role, you will be providing clerical support to a number of executives and managers in the office on a daily basis, and communicating with the headquarters in Japan as necessary.

Some of the minimum qualification requirements:

  • Great communication skills in Japanese and English.
  • Able to work overtime with a short notice when necessary.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business and/or 5+ years of the related experience in a company which has 200 or more employees at one location.
  • Able to use both Excel and PowerPoint in Japanese and English from Day 1.
  • 5+ years of clerical and admin support experience in booking hotels, rental cars, airlines limos, restaurants, and etc. for executives and managers.
  • Prior experience preparing itineraries in Japanese and English.
  • Prior experience proving support for Japanese expats’ health check-ups, housing, tax returns, and etc..
  • 5+ years of work experience handling daily clerical tasks, such as typing, sorting mail, scheduling appointments, booking travels, arranging video and phone conferences, keeping conference rooms clean and organized, answering and forwarding calls, taking messages for managers.
  • Authorized to work in the US permanently without a visa sponsorship.
  • Able to start in 2 weeks once you receive a job offer. Please note that this is NOT a remote position.
  • Detail-oriented. Multi-tasking skills. Able to keep info confidential.

Compensation: $70,000 to $95,000/yr

The employer will provide health, dental and vision insurance, as well as a 401k plan to its full-time employees in accordance with the company policy.
