Job Duties:

Make a difference in our community! A $2,500 hiring bonus is being offered for this position. Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original employment or reemployment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0.

· $500 will be awarded in the first paycheck.

· $750 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.

· $1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the employee’s one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.

Duties:

  • Provide initial training and support to people with disabilities at their community job sites. Ensure that they meet the employer’s expectations for quality and productivity, and when necessary complete work with client to ensure all work is finished. Observe client for areas of success, improvement, and satisfaction.
  • Provide extended, long-term supports to clients who are stable on their job.
  • Collaborate with team members on client visits to ensure needs are met.
  • Work with CEO team leaders and staff to ensuring a robust and productive schedule is created.
  • Ensure that work materials are available, and duties are assigned to the clients. Assist with work related issues, and when necessary complete work with clients to ensure all work is finished.
  • Ensure that clients are engaged in meaningful work activities and the development of work skills.
  • Serve as liaison between the individuals and the employer’s supervisory staff. Advocate that the employer’s policies, procedures, and job site opportunities are applied fairly.
  • Ensure clear, timely and accurate documentation on the individuals’ progress is in progress notes, according to their support plans. Record data on client progress according to their goals and objectives in the individual support plan. Submit billing information accurately and timely. Provide documentation on paper or through electronic record as instructed.
  • Observe for quality work, productivity, social interactions, and satisfaction on the job. Obtain feedback from employer supervisors and coworkers. Report issues/concerns to assigned CEO staff/supervisors and provide input to person-centered service planning and solutions.
  • Contribute to the collaborative effort of ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Maintain open communication of situations, concerns or problems related to clients or services with CEO supervisors and team in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

MINIMUMS: Requires a High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of direct client care or customer service related experience. Must have a current and valid driver’s license. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required to meet operational needs. Alpha I Status: Positions within this class have been designated as Alpha I positions requiring employees to work during inclement weather, regardless of the City’s operational status.

Preferences:

Experience with customer service
Experience in direct services to individuals with disabilities
Experience with providing COMMUNITY services, preferably vocational.
Experience with implementing skill development & support plans
Experience with documentation, preferably in electronic records
Experience working with a variety of people in community settings
Experience implementing behavior management techniques

Must be able to work varying schedules including weekends, early or late hours, and holidays, on occasion, to meet client needs.

VRS Contribution: All full-time employees are required to contribute 5% of annual salary toward their retirement account; in accordance with VRS retirement provisions. This will be handled through a pre-tax payroll deduction.
