As a Benefits Associate Advisor, you will oversee a couple of key areas. One of those areas is Short-Term Disability. You will be supporting the daily processing of STD payments for team members who are currently out on disability. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our team members are receiving pay while on leave so they can focus on their health and recovery. You will also be a liaison between the team member and Matrix partners to help them get their Leave of Absence questions answered. As a Benefits Associate Advisor, you will also oversee other Benefits supporting programs for team members.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the overall administration of benefit programs (PTO Donation/Support Our Staff/Service Awards), Leave of Absence, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and Benefits record requests (QMCSO/Legal Requests/Appeals). This position provides ongoing support and subject matter expertise to our team members about our benefit programs, processes, leave polices, vendor inquiries, and other related matters. This role requires Customer Obsessed focus. The Benefits Associate Advisor seeks out opportunities to provide support and keep the needs of our team members, HR Partners and Leaders at the forefront.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs basic professional assignments within own job function. Demonstrates basic knowledge of fundamental theories, practices, procedures, and concepts within the job’s function. Demonstrates understanding of professional procedures.

2. Uses a variety of existing procedures and guidance from others to solve straightforward problems. Drafts, reviews, and analyzes data specific to department.

3. Acts as a liaison to resolve any conflict between supervisors and employees regarding department or function specific work assignments. Responds to standard requests from internal and/ or external customers. Interacts with primarily with department peers, supervisor, internal customers, patients and physicians.

4. Works within technical guidelines and direction to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Has completed work reviewed by supervisor or physician.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working knowledge in the field of Human Resources.

Moderate experience, typically gained through two to fours years relevant experience. Equivalent education and/or experience in Human Resources, Accounting or Payroll.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Experience processing transactions in an HR system, preferably an Kronos/Lawson system. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
