The Benefit/Compensation Assistant is responsible for working directly in an administrative support role to the Human Resources Department. The Benefit/Compensation Assistant will fulfill a variety of work activities in support of Human Resources.

The Kaukauna Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a part-time Benefit/Compensation Assistant to work at the District Office Building. The selected candidate is responsible for the administration of various HR programs, including, but not limited to: processing background checks, maintaining accurate record keeping in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and processing employee compensation and benefits. The right candidate will provide exceptional customer service. The selected candidate administers District’s health insurance benefits programs and strives to ensure employee understanding of benefit programs through communication and education. This position handles employment-related inquiries which include a high level of confidentiality.

HIRING SPECIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Graduation from high school and any equivalent combination of training and experience, provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for success in the position.
Strong customer service-related people and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organizational skills to balance the demands of a multi-tasking position.
Proficiency in the use of computer systems and word processing software.

PREFERRED:
Administrative experience within a school district setting.

EVALUATION:
The Human Resource Generalist will evaluate the performance of this position.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
KASD Board of Education will establish salary and work year. This position is 30 hours per week.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
