The South Portland School Department is seeking a team member to provide indirect and direct support to elementary regular education students in need of social behavioral support. The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience designing and implementing behavior supports, including individualized behavior support plans. Collaboration is essential in this position, and the successful candidate will have experience working with school staff, students, and diverse families. The South Portland School Department is a vibrant community of 3100 PreK-12 students.

We are seeking educators who have experience working with racially, linguistically, and economically diverse youth and their families. Our students speak more than 30 different languages, and at least 1 in 5 students is a multilingual learner. Candidates with experience working within Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) are preferred.
