Job description

Behavior Interventionists are responsible for the direct one-on-one treatment clients. Behavior Interventionists continuously assess clients' progress and work with Program Directors and Program Managers to create effective treatment plans.

Behavior Interventionist provide direct 1:1 treatment to clients, implementing program curriculum to obtaining each treatment goal.

RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES:

Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.

Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.

Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols.

Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.

Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.

Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

CPR/First Aid - BABC will provide training

Hold valid immunization records and pass TB exam

Cleared for Livescan from the Department of Justice.

Must have a valid California Driver’s License & insurance in good standing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

College Students in psychology, child development, special education, early childhood special education, social work or related field.
