Job Title: Bartender - Unicoi Park and Lodge

Position Type: Full-time/Part-time/Seasonal

Reports to: F&B Services Manager

Job Summary:

The Bartender will be responsible for serving beverages and snacks to guests at the Unicoi Park and Lodge restaurant and bar. The incumbent will ensure that all guests' needs are met while maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar. The Bartender will be knowledgeable about the menu offerings, able to suggest cocktails, and provide recommendations to guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they enter the bar and take drink and food orders

• Prepare cocktails, beers, and other beverages according to the recipe

• Keep the bar area clean and well-stocked throughout the shift

• Serve drinks and snacks, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of orders

• Respond to guest inquiries and provide suggestions for drinks, snacks, and menu items

• Upsell additional items as appropriate

• Regularly check on guests to ensure their needs are being met

• Prepare bills and take payments from guests

• Follow procedures for cash handling, inventory management, and drink pouring

• Follow all health and safety guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of drink recipes, and bar terminology and techniques

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays

• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and inventory management

• Knowledge of local and state alcohol laws and regulations

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds

Applications with previous work experience as a bartender, or relevant experience in a hospitality industry, are highly preferred. Maintaining a professional demeanor while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for guests is highly encouraged. The applicant should be able to work well in a team environment and under pressure to meet the deadlines.
