The Strand House is looking for Barback to join our team!

Must have at least one year of barback experience. Must be able to lift 50 lbs

The Strand House and The Strand Bar are looking for barbacks to join our team! Prior Barback experience is preferred, but we will be happy to train great candidates with hoping to learn the bar trade and are interested in learning and growing with us long term!

Our ideal candidate looking to join a positive, talented team where they can stay for a long time and have a steady, well-paying job, and perhaps even move up into a bartending position at some point. The Strand House team is truly a family, where we join together to feed and take care of our amazing guests. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Collect empty glasses from the bar and stock glassware
Wipe off counters, clean equipment and dishes as needed
Pick up food, drink spills, broken dishes, and bottles
Prepare fruit trays by cutting garnishes
Restock liquor bottles and beer, and change out beer kegs
Refill ice wells
Other duties not listed above

THIS JOB IS FOR YOU IF...

Have at least 1 year of barback experience in a fine dining/high volume bar or restaurant
Adaptable and are able to thrive in a team environment
Ability to shift gears quickly and multitask
Are a quick and efficient worker with a can do attitude
Have a strong work ethic and work well under pressure
Have perfected your customer service skills and have a desire to exude genuine hospitality
Are ready to work all shifts. You will work in both our restaurant and our bar, and across all weekends and holiday
High school diploma
