Cougar Canyon in Monarch, Montana is located on 5012 Highway 89 South only 40 minutes from Great Falls, we are a resort destination in the beautiful Little Belt mountains halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Our restaurant, lounge and lodge are just minutes from the world-renowned Showdown Ski Hill, Blue Ribbon trout fishing, hundreds of miles of scenic hiking, mountain biking, snowmobile, ATV and Motocross trails, and world class elk, cougar, mountain lion and bear hunting.

We are seeking full-time wait staff, bartender/servers to work in a fun and awesome resort style restaurant & lounge. Responsibilities:

Greets and seats customers.

Distributes menus, presents the daily specials, answers questions about the menu.

Know how to pre serve, takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen, pre bus and following serving procedures as directed.

Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.

Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; returns incorrect or

improperly cooked orders to the kitchen and makes certain the customer has a positive

outcome and experience.

Prepares customers’ checks and collects payments. Closes out tickets prior to leaving shift, completes all during shift and end of shift duties on every shift worked and provides detailed information to the incoming server.

Receives orders from patrons and waitstaff.

Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.

Obtain proper alcohol certification for state of Montana within 45 days 7 provide a copy of certification to manager.

Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by consistently checking photo IDs.

Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or

disruptive.

Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.

Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.

Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

This position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.

Minimum 1-year previous experience as a server or bartender preferred.

Must successfully complete position-related training courses as assigned.

Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.

All servers & bartenders serving alcohol must be certified by the state of Montana within 45 days of hire.

Teamwork - work well with your fellow employees to accomplish the things it takes to keep the business running successfully.

Available shifts - All days. Excellent servers who have worked here have made up to $2,400.00 in tips in just 2 weeks plus their wage! Compensation is $11 to $13 per hour plus tips for hires with at least 2 years experience. Tips are a big part of your wages where excellent servers collect 20 to 30% on their sales!
