The voco Chicago Downtown is searching for a luxury hotel experienced banquet house attendant to join our team.

As a Banquet House Attendant, you will be responsible for:

• The full setup, cleaning, and breakdown of all banquet meeting rooms, rooms being used by the banquet department, and banquet common areas as required by the banquet event orders or manager on duty. This is to include all tables, chairs, dance floors, linens, podiums, decorations, non electrical audiovisual equipment, table glassware, pens, pads, and any other equipment and items needed to be set or broken down as directed by the manager on duty.

• Disposing of any refuse left in the banquet rooms, sending of all soiled linen to the housekeeping department, putting all equipment back in the proper storage place, and the removal of any dirty glassware and/or dishes to the dishwashing area.

• Opening all banquet rooms prior to function, turning on required lighting, checking heat/air for comfort, verifying the correct set of tables and equipment, and putting water in all rooms.

• Refreshing of rooms as necessary during the function.

• Assisting the guest/client with any room changes or additions needed before or during the function.

• Delivering client packages to/from the package storage area to/from the client.

• Maintaining clean and well-organized banquet storage areas at all times.

• Periodic maintenance and cleaning of all equipment, rooms, and banquet common areas used by the Banquet Department.

• Other duties as assigned.
