Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Banquet Captain to join our exceptional team at a competitive pay rate ($17-20/HR + Tips) including benefits (PTO, Vacation, Holiday and Health Insurance) for Full-Time associates.

The Banquet Captain’s responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising and assisting with the set-up, service, and clean up of all assigned banquet functions.

Essential Functions

• Check all room sets prior to each event.
• Meet with the Chef to confirm quantities of food items and timing of food leaving the kitchen
• Check all china, glassware, silverware, and linen items needed for the event.
• Inform staff of specific needs for buffets and receptions.
• Check staffing needs and inventory for all upcoming events
• Ensure all staff is in proper, clean uniforms and all appearance standards are met
• Review assigned work functions for the entire day and upcoming week.
• Read all assigned banquet menus and ask if specific items are unclear
• Complete all assigned administrative tasks such as; BEO postings, changes, tip reports, etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Check on guests throughout the meal to ensure a positive experience
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
