As a member of the engineering department of Dow Aero, you will be an integral part of working with our various departments to solve problems and answer questions regarding many aspects of what we do.

Essential Responsibilities

• Understand and perform functions described in Dow Aero policies that pertain to engineering functions.
• Answer questions and act as subject matter expert for problems that arise from both internal and external customers.
• Read and understand customer datasets, drawings, schematics, etc. and use that information to make decisions on matters of troubleshooting, test design, quoting, etc.
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot any test equipment used to accomplish repair and manufacturing services.
• Become familiar and implement best practices that conform with regulatory and industry requirements including but not limited to: FAA, AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, IPC, Dow internal policy, etc.
• Generate engineering data that may include Engineering reports, equivalency research, data analysis, time estimates, etc.
• Act as backup for Avionics AMTs in regard to repair and manufacturing functions.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 4 years relevant industry experience
• Verifiable working knowledge of AC and DC circuits and components
• Knowledge of various test equipment such as Digital Multi Meters, Oscilloscopes, Analog and Digital Signal Generators, etc.

Preferred Education or Experience

• 3D Modeling in any CAD software
• Schematic Capture and PCB design generation
• Aerospace manufacturing or repair industry experience

Primary Work Environment

• Climate controlled primarily, occasionally not climate controlled;
• Office/Electronic Labs;
• Occasional loud noises;
• Frequent fumes and particles;
• Frequent moving mechanical equipment and vibrations.

Expected Days and Hours

• Monday through Friday
  
  • First Shift - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Open and able to work occasional overtime, weekends, and willing to rotate shifts as required dependent on workload.

Supervisory or Management Responsibility

• This position does not have direct supervisory or management responsibilities.

Travel

• Travel is rarely expected for this position.

Required Personal Equipment/Tooling

• Protective steel-toed footwear.

Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for job duties and responsibilities will be provided as necessary by Dow Aero, including protective eyewear, respirator, etc.
