Description
The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.
The Office of Audits conducts audits of the Kentucky Court of Justice, including the Administrative Office of the Courts, circuit court clerks, master commissioners and court facilities.
The Division of Audit Services has an immediate need for an Auditor that will serve Statewide (Varies)
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

The Division of Audit Services has an immediate need for an Auditor that will serve Statewide (Varies)
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Applies professional auditing standards, methods, and procedures to identify, analyze and make recommendations concerning the accuracy of accounting systems.
- Examines and tests ledgers, journals, and other books of original entry for compliance with federal and/or state policies and regulations.
- Prepares work papers and accumulates documenting evidence in support of audit adjustments, recommendations and reports.
- Attends meetings and training sessions to develop and improve audit skills; and to develop and improve audit skills; and to develop a working knowledge of federal and state policies and regulations governing the programs, reports, and statements to be audited.
- Reviews legislation.
- Recommends changes in accounting manual.
- Conducts financial record and procedural audits of the circuit clerk, master commissioners, in court of justice facilities.
- Assists and participate in internal investigations.
- Conducts presentation and educational training in group settings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: 1 year of related experience
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Associates Degree with three years of related experience or High School Diploma with five years of related experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Must be able to travel statewide.
