The Position

The AV Regional SME is responsible for the following areas in the Novo Nordisk Inc., (NNI) home office based on Plainsboro, NJ. However, they will be required to support the other North America sites as needed. Be the IT reference person for AV services, AV asset management, AV support ticket monitoring and follow up, Advice the LoB on budget process for AV equipment (together with DWP and Regional IT Operations manager), Continuous improvement of AV support processes, Creation of relevant Knowledge Articles to improve AV support. Support with technical knowledge in larger procurements of AV equipment and services to LoB. Provide technical support and knowledge on AV to the global support organization. Provide support to live events with high stakeholder management. Provide AV technical support, primarily to the rest of colleagues in their region and provide knowledge and assistance to global set-up. Across an area or site. Test recent technologies proposed by DWP and support system improvements and or changes. Support the Region in other IT support activities when required and possible, DevOps & Stay aligned with DWP and participate in global AV support reference groups.


Relationships

Key Stakeholders include Regional Managers, Local ITs in the Region, Other AV Regional SMEs. Head of Regional IT Operations, External vendors, LoB stakeholders. Facilitate an involving and constructive dialogue with GOS teams, LoB stakeholders and Agile teams.


Essential Functions

  • Be the reference person for AV services:
    • Inform the customers about the provided AV services and features to align expectations
    • Function as an escalation contact for all level 2 AV related incidents in your region
    • Ensure availability to the end users in your region of the necessary global user guides and training materials
    • Instruct, consult, and guide users about AV solutions outside/inside catalogue
  • AV asset management:
    • Keep the AV equipment Inventory in own location and guide Local ITs in the Region to do the same
    • Ensure the Life Cycle Management in own location and guide Local ITs in the Region to do the same. (Procurement, replacement, and disposal)
    • Ensure the adoption of AV NN standards in the Region
  • AV support ticket monitoring and follow up:
    • Keep control on the incidents related to AV services and ensure they are taken to a final resolution
    • Involve Local ITs and vendors when necessary
  • Advice the LoB on budget process for AV equipment (together with DWP and Regional IT Operations manager):
    • Inform LoB during budget processes about the investments needed for AV equipment (new or renewals) in own location and guide Regional Managers and Local ITs in the Region to do the same
    • Support LoB Procurement on contracts/large procurements when needed. Contract service delivery monitoring
  • Continuous improvement of AV support processes:
    • Take initiative to ensure continuous improvement in accordance with roadmap set by Global IT Support
    • Discuss and agree them with your peers in other Regions
    • Share those with Local ITs in the Region
  • Creation of relevant Knowledge Articles to improve AV support:
    • Ensure the relevant knowledge articles are always up to date
  • Support with technical knowledge in larger procurements of AV equipment and services to LoB:
    • Co-ordinate the AV equipment procurement with LoB in own location and guide Local ITs in the Region to do the same
  • Provide technical support and knowledge on AV to the global support organization:
    • Ensure an appropriate bi-directional communication with Global IT Support (including the corresponding 3rd party vendors) to share knowledge on AV support services
  • Provide AV technical support, primarily to the rest of colleagues in their region and provide knowledge and assistance to global set-up. Across an area or site:
    • AV support SME will have to delegate for many actions on local ITs who must be guided, trained and assisted by the SME when necessary
  • Test recent technologies proposed by DWP and support system improvements and or changes:
    • Co-ordinate with DWP and Local ITs the testing of recent technologies which could improve the AV experience of the end users
  • Support the Region in other IT support activities when required and possible:
    • AV services activities are the focus, but other Local and Regional IT operations services will be executed when requested by the Regional Manager and the required capacity exists
  • DevOps:
    • Participate in DevOps teams and/or activities when required
  • Stay aligned with DWP:
    • Coordinating with DWP on trends and technical improvements on AV hardware and virtual collaboration platforms as well as with the rest of AV Regional SMEs in GITS


Physical Requirements

10% overnight/international travel required.


Qualifications

  • Education on live streaming event equipment, auditorium AV set-up and meeting virtual meeting equipment (i.e., Cisco Webex, Logitech etc.), IP network equipment and collaboration tools as Teams, O365, and Cisco Videoconference
  • Technical education or work experience equivalent for the tasks within the job
  • ITIL foundation v4 is a plus
  • Agile principles basic is a plus
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • +2 years of experience within IT services and AV projects
  • Good knowledge of ITIL
  • Good knowledge of Agile and agile way of working
  • Basic understanding of enterprise architect concepts, standards, and best practices
  • Coordinating skills
  • Experience with ticket handling and procurement processing
  • Experience as it-supporter or procurement processing
  • Basic level on Financial (budget management)
  • Ability to manage relations with line of business representatives
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with external parties and NN global Product Areas
  • Ability to operate and achieve results in an international IT operations environment
