RPC Video, Inc. is seeking a full-time, motivated audio/visual installer(s) to perform on-site installation tasks and provide technical support to our customers in Western and Central Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
Ability to read and understand written audio/visual system descriptions (Scope of Work) and CAD drawings in order to perform all tasks required install professional audio/visual systems. Installation tasks include, but are not limited to, ceiling-mounted projectors and projection screens, small and large-format LCD displays, speakers, cabling, cable terminations, equipment rack populating and wiring, control equipment.
Other responsibilities may include:
On-site system troubleshooting including effective communication with manufacturers to initiate return materials authorizations
Basic control programming or loading control programs
Additional requirements:
Basic network understanding including routers, switches and wireless connectivity
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Working on ladders, lifts and scaffold up to 20’ high
Strong communication skills and basic math skills are necessary
Local travel required
Valid driver’s license required
Knowledge and understanding of use of hand tools, including but not limited to, drywall saw, Rotozip, soldering iron, crimper, heat gun
Background check, fingerprint required for specific on-site location work
Drug screening
Education or Experience:
High school diploma required. Trade school and/or related experience in a technical field is preferred, but not required.
This position includes advancement options in areas of; system testing and commissioning, programming or installation lead.
Certifications such as Extron AV Associate, CTS or CTS-I, AMX/Extron programming preferred, but not required.
On-site training and manufacture training provided.
Military apprenticeship available.
