QUALIFICATIONS:

- Solid crop production background with soil knowledge and some precision ag experience
- Experience in all phases of crop production, from plant through harvest
- Really prefer candidate who's been in a lead position on a farm
- Prefer minimum 4-5 years of experience as a crew supervisor
- Solid communication skills and the know how to lead people
- Require a self-starter as owner won't always be around, yet be able to take direction
- Prefer candidate to have chemical application knowledge and certification
- CDL preferred or obtain within the first year of employment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Ward Farms is searching for a good Assistant Farm Manager who will assist in all day-to-day crop production, feedlot and ranch operations for producer. Owner would like to find person who can help operate and run this operation with and without supervision of owner.

· Person needs to have a good attitude and be a good communicator with the owner and other crew members.

· Prefer prior experience in leadership and ability to understand the owner's vision and execute the plan.

· Communicate with owner on daily basis.

· Agronomy/crop science/soil science background needed as this position will develop crop plans, do soil prep, planting, spraying and assist with harvesting.

· Decent mechanic skills preferred to help maintain equipment. Role is required to assist other employees who run the cattle side of the operation.

· Good crop production equipment and feedlot and facilities have been and will continue to be upgraded.

· The farm is in a good location for family and schools, which makes this a good opportunity for a long-term position.
