Shift: Flexible with hours-can come in early.

Contract position-possible to extended.

• Must have scientific background.
• Must be able to operate analytical instrument upon training.
• Must be able to follow an SOP.
• The role is to provide technical lab support to project managers. Familiar with sample prep and chemical testing using wet chemistry techniques.
• Experience working in a lab environment is a must.
• We are looking for a candidate with a technical background who should be able to learn new instruments and methods.
• Candidate will be working under the supervision of team leaders to analyze samples and collect data and help them manage the experimental work.

Desired Skills:

• Math, Science or technical training required, BS in a scientific field preferred
• Familiar with basic scientific principles and methodology, and has had some laboratory experience, 2+ years in wet chemistry
• Has good communication skills and is computer literate.
• Familiarity with standard office software packages.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and quick to learn and an ability to follow written instruction. Evidence of flexible and adaptable working behaviors to meet customer/business requirements and good time management skills.
• An ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team
• Demonstrate judgment and competence
• Good attitude and willingness to participate. ?

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Wet chemistry: 2 years (Preferred)
• operate analytical instrument: 1 year (Preferred)

• chemist / Analytical Scientist: 2 years (Preferred)
