Primary Talent Partners has a 12-month contract opening for an Associate Scientist with a multinational pharmaceutical company located in Seattle, WA.
Average 3 days a week in lab and 2 days a week analysis working from home.
Primary Responsibilities
In this individual contributor, lab-based role the Associate Scientist will work in a collaborative environment to perform characterization testing to support process and platform development programs. This position will report to the Custom & Process Analytics (CPA) lead. The incumbent will join a characterization testing group that values data quality, high productivity, and teamwork. Key responsibilities include:
- Execute multiparameter flow cytometry (phenotypic, functional assays, etc.)
- Analyze and report high quality data with an emphasis quick turnaround
- Work with CPA stakeholders and partners to support quick assay turnaround-times
- Detail work and summarize results in peer reviewed Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) entries
- Assist with routine lab maintenance and help maintain inventory of lab supplies and reagents
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant lab experience
- 6 months+ multiparameter flow cytometry experience using Flowjo for data analysis
- Aseptic technique
- Ability to work in a self-driven, fast-paced team environment and prioritize work from multiple projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented with strong scientific technical writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency using MS Office products
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with assay and liquid automation systems
- Execution of multiplexed cell-based assays (e.g., Luminex, ELISA, etc.)
- Assay development
- Experience handling, phenotyping, and analyzing primary human T cells in a high throughput setting
- Familiarity with immunology and cell biology pertaining to the development of cell-based therapeutics
- Trained in JMP analysis
