ABC’s “Nightline” is hiring an Associate Producer to work on the streaming show, IMPACT. The ideal candidate is a news junkie, who is creative and hungry to work on a long form magazine style production.

Responsibilities:

The AP will provide editorial and logistical support for all aspects of the production. This includes researching, extensive fact-checking and booking guests. Additionally, the AP is responsible for:

• Writing and producing the show open
• Working with editors in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
• Researching, both editorial and archival

• Setting up and managing field shoots
• Gathering and organizing elements for edit
• Supporting editors with media
• Creating and supervising creation of deliverables packet
• Writing scripts on deadline

Basic Qualifications

• Strong communication and organization skills are a must.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Must be able to multi-task and have sound editorial judgment.
• Willing to travel at times, including during breaking news
• Willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Production experience in the doc is a plus

• Experience shooting and knowledge of cameras is a plus

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree (TV/Film/Journalism or related field) or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in New York is $64,800 to $86,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
