Summary

This position is the SAP Enterprise Architect. The role will partner with SAP Emerging Technologies lead, SAP application owners, IT business partners, solution architects and other architects to lead the architecture development for individual solutions, as well as drive the enterprise strategy for the next generation ERP solution and take ownership on the overall architecture for SAP.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading the development of the architecture for a specific solution in alignment with established enterprise guidance, principles, and standards

• Responsible for coordinating with multiple teams to successfully architect a solution, including, but not limited to, Integration teams, Information/Data Architects, Security Architects, Application Owners, and Business Partners

• Responsible for architecting cost-effective solutions that meet business outcomes, performance requirements, and business requirements

• Responsible to manage the architecture effort across multiple projects, including the plans, interdependencies, schedule, budget, and required personnel

• Responsible for developing and presenting the architecture, e.g. conceptual, logical, data, and security, including dependencies, to an architecture review board

• Responsible for assessing vendor solutions from an architecture perspective

• Responsible for identifying, documenting, and communicating architecture risks and mitigations

• Responsible to review project architecture and design deliverables for completeness and compliance with the defined solution architecture and established enterprise standards

• Responsible for supporting business case development for new solutions.

• Responsible for architecture oversight across SAP and non-SAP integrations, including documenting the domain architecture and understanding security, data and analytic needs

• Responsible for supporting roadmap efforts in SAP

Position Requirements

• 3 to 5 years’ Enterprise-wide Architect experience

• 1 to 2 years’ experience working with cloud technologies and architectures

• 1 to 2 years’ experience designing and overseeing solution integrations

• Good understanding of cloud native solutions

• Proven analytical skills to properly turn business process and high-level requirements into solution architecture that meets business outcomes

• Experience in evaluating vendor solution architecture in accordance with enterprise guidelines and user requirements

• Good understanding of SAP Business functions from Order to cash, to Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and data analytics

• Ability to clearly communicate architecture decisions, risks and benefits to all levels of the business.

• Ability to work with a cross functional team, to be collaborative, and to accept input from team members

• Understanding of the Clinical, Regulatory and Safety pharmaceutical domains would be beneficial
