Join Jack Link's as an Associate Brand Manager (ABM) on our Growth Platforms team in Marketing to help lead Jack Link’s into new areas of growth. You will support two of the largest growth opportunities in our businesses today, including:
- Frito-Lay / Jack Link’s Co-Branded Partnership: A set of co-branded (Jack Link’s + Dorito’s) jerky and meat sticks that will launch in April of 2023. These items are designed, developed and manufactured by Jack Link’s in partnership with Frito, and Frito will serve as the national selling and distribution arm. This is a “big bet” for both companies in 2023.
- Jack Link’s Cold Crafted: this is our delicious refrigerated snacking brand that was launched in 2018. It has been the fastest growing business in the company for the past 5 years, and has captured strong share across several channels.
On this team, you will help to build and execute the long-term strategy to bring Jack Link’s into multiple parts of the store, leveraging the great equity of the Jack Link’s brand. As an ABM, you will work in a high-visibility role on the two biggest growth initiatives for 2023.
You will closely monitor and analyze sales volume and market trends to formulate recommendations for growth. Working under the direction of a Brand Manager, you will lead cross-functional team members in the execution of commercialization and marketing plans to drive in year results and be accountable for delivering the brand’s revenue, profit and market share objectives. Specifically, you will work across these areas:
- Brand Strategy – Participate in and lead aspects of the development of brand strategy to achieve long-term and short-term business goals, including strategic planning
- Build the Brand – Identify new, innovative ideas to drive brand growth. Develop & execute new marketing and product strategies & ideas. Develop and execute general management plans which include input into volume, profit and share objectives
- Marketing Execution – Lead teams of internal and external cross-functional partners in the development and execution of brand management strategies including product development, packaging, trade and pricing and business operations. Provides support to the sales organization with regard to marketing initiatives
- Analytics and Tracking – Responsible for analyzing brand performance and competitive environment to assess overall business, lead reporting of key business metrics, and identify insights and actions.
- Planning and Budgeting – Assists in the development of the marketing plan (and joint plan with Frito) to achieve annual sales & profit objectives.
- Ad Hoc Projects – Support the Marketing team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance or Business Administration
- MBA preferred, but not required
- 1-3 years of Brand Management experience or 3-5 years relevant marketing experience
- CPG industry experience preferred
- Strong leadership qualities and team skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to conduct business analytics with proficiency in Nielsen/IRI syndicated data preferred
- Ability to determine how to use 4Ps to achieve brand strategy and goals
- Flawless verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and all levels of management, as well as external business partners
- Results-driven attitude
- Personal initiative and willingness to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly evolving environment.
