This position supports the request and logistical movements of aircraft engines, parts and materials world-wide. The role will assist in maintaining accurate stock levels to guarantee materials available for maintenance events to avoid service disruptions by aircraft being out of service due to parts.

Our parts room employees are vital to the business as they maintain relationships with vendors and support the shop staff in getting work done correctly and efficiently. This position is very fast paced and requires you to be on your feet a minimum of 70% throughout the day. It supports both mechanics and customers, and involves shipping, and receiving, tracking inventory, building kits for mechanics, crating and packaging materials, weighing and labeling the items appropriately, and responsible for keeping detailed records of materials and shipments.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Process all materials movement requests accurately and on time
• Perform shipping, receiving and stocking of aircraft engines, aircraft parts and supplies
• Accurately process shipments in compliance with federal regulations
• Maintain inventory within established specifications and in serviceable condition by following appropriate procedure. Demand and issue all parts to maintain accurate inventory counts
• Count physical inventory; check minimums/maximums
• Review packing lists
• Seal and label containers
• Move completed crates/packages for loading
• Maintain up to date shelf life on stockroom
• Building kits for mechanics
• Completing forms and paperwork
• Some light manufacturing of parts
• Other duties as assigned
• Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e. g. emergencies in the change of workload, rush jobs, or technical developments).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School or GED certification
• Must have valid Driver’s License
• Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to read, send and execute instructions via email and memos
• Proficient with computers, basic knowledge of word editing software, inventory sheets and email management
• Warehouse Operations Knowledge, experienced with shipping, receiving and stocking practices
• Ability to carry several assignments at the same time and deliver positive results
• Ability to adjust to continuous change, ability to shift focus to new task while keeping productivity and without losing sight of general goals
• Detail Oriented, able to produce accurate work to avoid unnecessary reproduction
• Self-initiated, able to complete needed work and/or identify areas that require work
• Dependable, completion of all assigned tasks and maintains good attendance
• Able to lift 50lbs and stand during extended period of time
• Mechanically Inclined
• Tolerance for repetition
• Read and write English
• Stooping, bending, climbing ladders required
• Able to endure temperature changes and outside work.

Preferred Skills:

• 2+ years in a warehouse environment
• Inventory background experience
• Aviation Materials Knowledge, familiar with parts numbers, descriptions and handling
• Hazardous Materials Shipping and Handling, knowledge of HAZCOM and general shipping procedures.
• Forklift driving experience
