Franklin County Personnel Office is accepting applications for an Assistant Social Services Attorney.
What an Assistant Social Services Attorney will do
Representing the Commissioner of Social Services, the Assistant Social Services Attorney focuses on the best interests of children involved in the child welfare system as well as vulnerable or incapacitated adults. Our attorneys handle a variety of legal issues as they relate to the duties and responsibilities of the Commissioner.

The Assistant Attorney works in a collegial setting with two other attorneys, support staff, all social services staff and the Commissioner. The Assistant Social Services Attorney frequently interacts with the Public Defender’s Office, Conflict Defender’s Office, and Attorney for the Child.

Salary Range depending on experience: $76,495 - $92,048
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Law School and Admitted to the NYS Bar.
There is a $10 filing fee that must be submitted with the application, payable in cash, check or money order made payable to the Franklin County Personnel Office.

3) Proof of Current Admittance to the NYS Bar
