Cartersville Nursing is hiring an Assistant Director Of Nursing (ADON).

Job Summary:

The ADON serves as a clinical operational liaison between the units and the Director of Nursing. He/She is responsible for the daily clinical operations of the Nursing Units including ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists Director of Nursing with staffing – Recommendations regarding needs of the Nursing department, interviews, hire and orients professional staff.
  • Clinical Leadership – Works with DON to effectively plan, organize, direct and implement comprehensive nursing program
  • Provides Nursing Leadership in order to meet goals of the organization and the individual center
  • Works with Don to ensure timely and accurate compliance between nurses, CN.A and professional medical staff.
  • Initiates and actively participates in Interdisciplinary Care Plan meetings.
  • Ensures the Interdisciplinary Care Plan addresses all triggered indicators.
  • Collaborates with nursing caregivers and other disciplines to obtain information on residents' status and progress toward care plan goals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of other disciplines
  • Prepares accurate reports of the Quality Measure/Quality Indicators (QM/QI) derived from the RAI/MDS. Performs tracks and trends of this data to enhance the knowledge of the Interdisciplinary Team and improve quality of care through performance improvement initiatives.
  • Active involvement in Quality Improvement.
  • Implements an educational plan to meet changing program or service needs for self and others

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • RN preferred but not required
  • RN or LPN licensed to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or other related health care facility.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long term care.
  • Current CPR certification.

Salary: Competitive+Benefits

Shifts: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm
