Assistant Director, Facilities Services

Seminole County Public Schools has an exciting opportunity for an assistant director in the Facilities Services Department. This dynamic professional will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities of the district’s school facilities to keep them in a condition of operational excellence.

This position requires the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with internal customers, contractors, and consultants. The position will require an individual who exhibits self-motivation, initiative, and attention to detail, providing technical and administrative support to all maintenance department projects, assigned programs, and staff, and assists in the planning, supervision, estimating, scheduling, and coordination of the work of all maintenance staff.

Position qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with five (5) or more years documented experience in engineering, construction, or facilities maintenance and operations preferred; OR High School Diploma or equivalence or Florida Special Diploma with ten (10) years of documented experience in facilities maintenance and operations.
• Experience in mechanical systems preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of documented experience supervising staff and managing capital programs.
