An Assistant Controller job in Goldsboro, NC is available with Storm Search. This is a Direct Hire job opportunity offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

Some of the Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller include:

• Oversee the cost accounting activities and Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Review the inventory accuracy and monitor cycle count activity
• Lead the monthly closing, financial reporting and analysis in a compressed 3-day reporting schedule.
• Oversee all account reconciliations
• Analyze and report on budget vs actual expense performance
• Responsible for the training and development of all members of the Finance Team.
• Participate in the weekly cost productivity reviews and validates cost savings on a quarterly basis
• Assist with the preparation of financial data for quarterly business unit presentation
• Monitor operational activities for compliance with internal control procedures and SOX requirements.
• Coordination of all external audit activities
• Assist with system process improvements and upgrades.

Some of the Requirements/Qualifications of the Assistant Controller include:

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from four-year college in Accounting or Finance. CPA a plus
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience; and
• Must have in-depth professional knowledge of accounting concepts, manufacturing systems, and cost accounting
• Preferred experience in high mix/low volume manufacturing environment; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent PC skills including Excel and other MS Office applications and working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Oracle or SAP.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
