About the role:
The Assistant Community Manager will be responsible for assisting the Community Manager with the day-to-day operations of the assigned property, as well as leasing units and maintaining positive relationships with residents. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a burning desire to make a real difference in people’s lives and a commitment to anticipate and exceed the expectations of our residents. What you'll do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
- Conduct leasing tours and follow-up with leads to convert them into residents
- Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs, including inspections and processing move-in/move-out paperwork
- Manage resident accounts, including collecting rent and other fees, and responding to resident inquiries
- Assist with marketing efforts to attract new residents and retain existing ones
- Enforce lease agreements and community policies in compliance with Fair Housing laws
- Assist with maintenance requests and work orders
- Maintain accurate resident records and ensure that all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist with other administrative duties as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in property management, leasing, or a related field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Requires the ability to read, speak and understand work instructions and safety notices in English
