Assembly Operator

Job Description:

Assembly of lighting fixtures and fixture components with small hand tools. Label, count and package products.

Responsibilities for assembler roles include but are not limited to:

· Basic to complex assembly of lighting fixtures weighing less than 15 lbs.

· Use of hand tools such as power assisted screwdriver and socket wrench.

· May require wiping down and inspecting parts. Disassembly of returned units

· Report defective material or questionable conditions to department supervisor

· Maintain the safe, clean and orderly condition of work area and equipment.

· Verify quantity of components, counting and verification of box amounts

· Trouble shoot and inspection of goods.

· Applying UL and daycode labels to finished goods

Requirements:

· Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions

· Good hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills performing repeat tasks

· Able to work independently and with others

· Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods

· Ability to use small hand held power assisted tools

· Assist with year-end inventory audit

· Maintain cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and the facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
