Lighthouse is a digital art gallery, cafe and creative work space. Our goal is to showcase emerging artists, host interactive events and provide a new and interesting experience in the heart of Old San Juan.

We are currently looking for a Gallery Manager to help assist in the daily operations of our state-of-the-art art gallery. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing a gallery, have an eye for cutting-edge modern art, and possess excellent communication skills. This is a chance to work in an exciting and rapidly growing company, and the successful applicant will be a part of an entertaining, yet professional team that produces unique art shows to be enjoyed by all.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the gallery.
• Manage art sales and retail sales.
• Coordinate and host events and exhibits.
• Oversee artist communications and negotiation of prices.
• Develop new gallery business by identifying potential clients and opportunities for marketing the gallery.
• Manage gallery marketing such as social media (with a team).
• Co-manage restaurant operations (with a team).
• Identify, interview and manage new team members as needed.

Requirements:

• An eye for design and love for art.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a management role at an art gallery, museum, retail store, or similar cultural institution.
• Knowledge of contemporary art and the art market, and a basic familiarity of the NFT art market.
• Experience in marketing and promoting cultural events and exhibitions.
• Restaurant management or related work experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $38,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
