The Area Sales Manager will ensure the successful growth of Union Beer’s market share, sales, and distribution while maintaining control of expenses across their assigned territory. Excellent candidates will demonstrate a track record of success in current/past roles, possess outstanding leadership traits, and exhibit a “can-do” attitude.

What you will be doing:

• Promote the goodwill of Union Beer through effective customer relations
• Coach, train, motivate, and lead assigned Sales Representatives to ensure the greatest possible sales and distribution of the total portfolio
• Maintain appropriate call-frequency in high-volume, key accounts
• Work cooperatively with NABT KAMs (re-sets & all other chain initiatives)
• Maintain thorough knowledge of territory/market conditions and identify specific sales opportunities for Sales Representatives to pursue
• Maintain territory routing with a high level of detail and pro-activeness
• Successful implementation of monthly and quarterly PFP
• Execute robust and specific annual reviews
• Implementation of progressive discipline when appropriate
• Minimize controllable costs (out-of-code, refusals, off-day deliveries)Timely collection of Accounts Receivable as per company policies
• Route coverage
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned

What you will need to succeed:

• BA/BS degree
• High sense of ownership and accountability
• Ability and willingness to lead in a team environment
• Ability to navigate ambiguity when given outcome-driven direction
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• High level of comfort with all forms of technology
• Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding our industry
