Urban Equity Development is a growing residential homebuilder that primarily operates on the East side of King County. Our current projects are located in Bellevue and Kirkland. As an Architect, you will be responsible for the design, engineering, and permitting of our residential homes from start to finish. You will work closely with the Owner, General Manager, to ensure that our homes are built to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will also be responsible for establishing SOP's, logs and reports, and preliminary design and entitlement schedules. This position will eventually be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of architects and designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Owner and GM to understand their vision, preferences, and budget.
- Develop innovative and functional architectural designs.
- Create detailed construction drawings, floor plans, elevations, and specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, designers, and engineers.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements.
- Assist GM with managing the permitting and entitlement process.
- Develop a collaborative and strong working relationship with City staff and review agencies.
- Assist in conducting zoning analyses and feasibility studies for future acquisitions.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the construction phase.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
- Develop innovative and sustainable designs using current industry trends, emerging technologies, and building materials.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to create marketing presentations and materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience as a Residential Architect, preferably within the homebuilding industry.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) and familiarity with BIM workflows.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and spatial arrangements.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and green building practices is desirable.
- Portfolio showcasing successful residential projects completed as a Residential Architect.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
