A Day in the Life
The AR Specialist serves as an accounts receivable expert to protect the integrity of the company’s accounts receivable assets. The AR Specialist is responsible for all activities related to accounts receivable on both domestic and international accounts, including the administration of the credit policy, timely collection of receivables due, accurate processing of daily cash receipts, insightful research pertaining to deductions and claim issues, resolution of customer disputes, professional correspondence with customers, procedure documentation, and scanning/imaging/indexing company documents.
What are the requirements for this position?

• 1-3 years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Computer skills including Excel, typing, 10-key, and email
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
• Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail and strong follow-up skills used to solve problems

Responsibilities:

• Utilize SQL and Excel to gather data, and preform analysis related to job responsibilities
• Scan (or import) and index company documents as assigned. Expert in accurately indexing documents to ensure that they can be retrieved as needed in the future
• Manage assigned accounts to maintain acceptable levels of delinquency, balances and chargebacks as defined by the AR Dashboard and other metrics as established
• Accurately apply cash receipts in compliance with customer’s remittance advice, and in accordance with company policy
• Demonstrate problem solving ability while researching disputes to resolve payment discrepancies. Charges back to customers, makes AR adjustments, issues or coordinates issuance of credit memos as necessary to resolve disputes
• Identify delinquent receivables using AR Dashboard and other tools as provided. Contacts customers via telephone, email, mail, or fax to collect payment. Follows up as necessary to ensure that payments are received as required
