Statistical Scientist

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Statistical Scientist, are to:

• Apply statistical reasoning and statistical methods for applications in biology;
• Provide statistical consulting to identify the appropriate experimental design for a study protocol, including sample size computation, and conduct analysis to answer critical study questions;
• Clearly explain technical and non-technical aspects of their work to other statisticians and stakeholders, both orally and in writing;
• Be an statistical expert for an indication or a special statistical methodology with regard to issues, inquiries, requests for support, and other associated activities in the indication;

WHO YOU ARE

Required Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelors degree with at least five years of experience, or Masters with at least one year of experience, or Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or Mathematics with a specialization in Statistics; Data science degrees will not work for this type of role as it involves statistics consulting.
• Expertise in wide range of statistical techniques including, but not limited to experimental design, general and generalized linear mixed models, non-linear mixed models, multivariate statistics, non-parametric analysis, and Bayesian statistics;
• Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in computational skills and an intermediate level of experience processing data, conducting statistical analysis, and visualizing results in R and python;
• Strong communication competencies to include presentations and delivery of complex quantitative analyses in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to extended team and small groups of key stakeholders;
