Role Summary:

We are searching for an Applications Engineer (AE) who has the passion and excitement to grow, innovate and drive Iontra’s technology into the battery market. The AEs primary role is to discover the customer’s technical requirements and propose systems solutions using Iontra’s technology. The AE is also the primary point of contact for solving customer technical needs once we have secured a development contract. The direct customer technical engagement makes the AE a critical resource to help define future products and services. The AE works closely with sales and marketing to demonstrate to customers how Iontra’s products can be integrated efficiently within a system. This is a full-time role, located in either our Centennial, CO, or Dallas, TX, office and you’ll be a key part of our fast-paced startup team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

· Working closely with sales, marketing, systems engineering, and product development to demonstrate to customers how existing products can be integrated efficiently within a system.

· Help define and refine system requirements based on customer feedback

· Write and perform verification and validation tests for system requirements

· Proposing solutions that are tailored to the customers requirements.

· Providing post sales technical support and training to customers.

· Assisting customers to optimize and debug their software and systems using Iontra ICs.

· Creating technical documentation and training material.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Minimum BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field

· Minimum MS and 5 years’ experience or 8 years with BS

· Understanding of, and experience with system design, including defining system-level requirements and evaluating engineering trade-offs

· Embedded software development skills including C programming, debugging, toolchain and build system setup, and RTOS

· Hardware development experience with both digital and analog components

· Ability to interpret technical datasheets for peripherals and implement drivers using vendor’s SDK, using communication protocols such as I2C, SPI or UART

· Knowledge in structured and/or object-oriented programming (C, C++)

· Knowledge in fundamentals of engineering economics and business principles

· Strong communication, technical writing and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in consumer electronics and/or automotive domains on charge control applications

· Experience with other programming languages such as Bash or python

· Experience in creating automated tests for embedded systems such as integration or functional tests using tools such as pytest

· Experience in design of battery charging and battery management systems.

· Knowledge and experience in Functional Safety

· Customer technical management experience.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes

Salary Range: $141k - $161k (salary is based on education, experience, skillset, and market value).
