$85,000 to $90,000 per year depending on experience

Essential duties and responsibilities of the Applications Engineer
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Strong problem-solving skills in math and physical sciences
- Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills
- Computer skills, including MS Word, Excel. Solidworks a plus
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing, especially metals manufacturing
- Knowledge of cost and selling price.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
- 2 years direct supervisory experience.
- Ability to understand and use basic inspection tools; calipers, micrometers, shadow graph, etc.
- Ability to understand product drawings and specifications, such as military and commercial.
- Experience with international quality system standards, such as ISO9001, AS9100 etc.
- The following are the main function(s) of this position:
- As a technical subject matter expert, the Applications Engineer serves as liaison between teams of sales professionals, engineers, quality technicians and inspectors to implement and monitor all planned quality activities to provide assurance of a conforming product and maintain a high level of customer confidence.
- The Applications Engineer is a liaison between Sales, Quotation, Production, Quality, Purchasing and the customer.
- The Applications Engineer will be accountable for helping to determine all customer requirements for new and existing product,
- The Applications Engineer will assist in determining internal and external capabilities we and our vendor partners to provide appropriate input about our capability to manufacture all new jobs.
- The Applications Engineer collaborates with Strategic Sourcing in developing outside vendors to increase the products and services that are provided.
- The Applications Engineer is a supervisory role and is a salaried exempt position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
