JOB SUMMARY FOR APPLICATION ARCHITECT:

  • Description: IT Architect are responsible for development, programming, coding of the most complex and business critical Information Technology solutions. Provides leadership and consultative guidance on projects with extensive size, scope and risk. Serves the company as an adviser on best practices and as an information technology strategy driver by implementing principles, models, designs, standards and guidelines. IT Architect are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participation in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications, evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. IT Architect are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application. IT Architect lead efforts, oversee work results, providing formal training and serve as a technical resource for other Developers.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR APPLICATION ARCHITECT:

  • Display technical leadership.
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages.
  • 4+ years’ experience in IT software development work experience with some application design experience
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field
  • Hands on Full Stack Developer experience
  • Java and NodeJs experience
  • Database experience: Db2 and Postgres
  • Platform experience: OpenShift or any cloud infrastructure
  • Experience writing high level architectural designs
  • Display technical leadership
  • Proficiency using versioning tools, debugging tools, flowcharting, Visio
  • Experience and understanding with unit testing, release procedures, coding, design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures.
  • Practitioner of Project Management Methodologies (e.g. waterfall, iterative, agile discipline)
  • Knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) software engineering practices
  • Knowledge in defining extensible architectures that can be built by project team incrementally
  • Proficiency in creating architecture, green-field and redesign, and communicate the same to project team
  • Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio.
  • Lifelong learner and practitioner of new technologies in alignment with IT strategies
  • Experience and understanding with unit testing, release procedures, coding, design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures.
  • Practitioner of Project Management Methodologies (e.g. waterfall, iterative, agile discipline)
  • Knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) software engineering practices
  • Knowledge in defining extensible architectures that can be built by project team incrementally
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficiency in creating architecture, green-field and redesign, and communicate the same to project team
  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience applying current and emerging technology solutions and trends.
  • Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for wide variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to understand overall IT strategy and apply/implement IT strategy in assigned projects/initiatives.
  • Specific tools, languages and specialty skills may vary.
  • Relevant Development certifications.
  • Broad knowledge of application suite required to support business area needs
  • Responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the applications architecture across the system and providing technical guidance to the development teams.
  • Define application architectures and recommends courses of action to ensure technology is consistent, usable, secure and adds value to the business.
  • Advisor on best practices and stays current on business initiatives and objectives.
  • Researches and evaluates new technology and development tools to remain abreast of current and emerging technology.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR APPLICATION ARCHITECT:

  • 5-8 years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education
  • IT development/programming/coding and architecture within an Automation Environment.
  • Related Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or relevant work experience
  • Solid React/Node Dev experience
  • Adobe Personalization and Orchestration engine Rules development
  • Hands on web/Enterprise Application Architecture role

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICATION ARCHITECT:

  • Healthcare IT experience
  • SaFe Agile experience
  • Large scale project development and implementation ( Digital Transformation)
  • Leading large-scale projects with at least 10 technical people
