Purpose of Position:
The Ammunition Lead assists the Hunting Manager in the merchandising, pricing, signing, and operations of Ammunition within the Hunting Department. The Ammunition Lead does not share or assume responsibility for Firearm sales or compliance within the Hunting Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Outfit customers based on their Ammunition needs by providing exceptional customer service and in aisle engagement
- Merchandise and maintain the Ammunition department to company standards
- Execute directives from field managers
- Manage pricing through shelf labels and display signing to ensure price per round clarity
- Utilize business intelligence reporting to forecast Ammunition department product needs in a timely manner
- Maintain and support all Vendor Ammunition programs and processes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of Stockroom
- Maintain modular integrity and recovery of the sales floor to company standard
- All other duties assigned

Qualifications:
- Must have the ability and knowledge to support customer discussions and interactions to include specific ammunition recommendation
- Must have good verbal and written communication
- Must be able to work well with customers, co-workers, and management
- Must have the ability to create a positive customer experience
- Basic computer skills are required
Education/Experience:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Ammunition or Hunting industry is required

- This position is considered moderately active. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, use hands and fingers, and stoop/kneel to grab items from the floor.
- The employee may be required to exert up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)
