We are seeking an Aerospace System Engineer SME to join our team.*

Skill Category*

  • Minimum 15 years of experience
  • Required knowledge/skills/experience.
  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field, the degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited.
  • A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, a team mindset, and capable of coming up to speed quickly on assigned programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
  • Effective working in an environment with broad responsibilities and minimal oversight.
  • Experience with spacecraft command and control systems, simulators, software test benches, and other electrical ground support equipment.
  • Experience with spacecraft, space vehicles, and their related components, systems, and subsystems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail while appreciating the bigger picture of complex and ambitious projects.

Job Description*

  • Production control procedures, property control systems, quality assurance measures, and safety programs applicable to materials to be produced or services to be performed.
  • Assess Vehicle Assembly activities to develop schedule and cost savings for production planning and execution of systems, considering any historical performance and lessons learned. Complete all assessments by the end of the period of performance and shall submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
  • Perform Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) development for Vehicle Assembly systems. Track RIO actions to closure by the end of the period of performance and submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
