The Admissions Specialist educates incoming first-year, adult, transfer, and graduate students, as well as parents and counselors, about the University of Southern Maine and the college selection, application and admissions process through customer service and front-end service work. This position will oversee day-to-day operations managing email and phone, as well as visitor communications and scheduling for the Admissions Office.

The Admissions Specialist will:

  • Participate in implementing successful marketing and recruitment strategies and plans.
  • Support Admissions Counselors,
  • Support the recruitment of diverse and underrepresented populations.
  • Conduct first review of applications.
  • Communicate with students, families, and counselors via email, phone, and in person.
  • Participate and assist in organizing on campus visitation.

This is a full-time position with a starting annual salary of $35,250 and is located on the Gorham Campus.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven record of excellent customer service delivery
