Position Summary
The Leave Administrator, under general supervision, is responsible for providing guidance and support to employees, managers, and HR staff for questions, issues, and problems related to all types of Leaves of Absence. This position must ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures in addition to required federal, state, and local regulations. We are seeking a candidate that will display attention to detail, commitment, professionalism, and a sense of urgency. The ideal Leave Administrator will be a detail-oriented individual with superb organizational skills, a results-oriented multi-tasker with exposure to human resources, with a focus on employee leave and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Alongside Leave Manager, interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable company policy and federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.)
- Independently approves and/or denies leave requests based on relevant information for the type of leave requested. Coordinates and organizes all medical information and ensures that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed.
- Works closely with associates and employees to ensure that all relevant completed leave documentation is submitted for timely review. Maintains appropriate contact with all employees and their managers on leave and coordinates all aspects of return to work from leave.
- Assist Leave Manager with all administrative aspects of leave include tracking hours used/taken and working closely with Payroll to ensure that pay for employees is accurate and correct.

- Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information.
- Demonstrated problem solving, time management, and priority setting skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) product suite and SharePoint
- Familiarity with HRIS systems
Education
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
