The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest team member inside the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC) at our Central Office located in beautiful downtown Columbus.

In your new role you will relieve the manager of routine administrative duties and provide administrative support to DAPC staff in different capacities including support using appropriate software such as Places, Notices, and Revenues, follow procedures and coordinate on-board/off-board of Ohio EPA and local air agency staff to gain access to software applications like worker IDs, staff data and ITS tickets.

You will reconcile entity data and collapse duplicate entity data using Agency Places software for those that do business with DAPC. You will also assist with facility outreach for late fee payment, compile information for late fees and referrals for collections.

You will assist DAPC Right-to-Know (RTK) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) Programs with data entry involving program related databases, program activities involving the agency’s CORE ad Revenues applications, and assisting in any mailings as needed.

Qualifications
  • Completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college.
  • Or 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in secretarial/administrative professional field.
  • Or 6 mos. exp. as Administrative Professional 1, 16871.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Knowledge of English grammar & composition; arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division; records management; business communications; administrative practices & procedures*; general office practices & procedures; agency-specific office practices & procedures*; budgeting*; government structure & process*. Skill in keyboarding; business office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office); operation of personal computer & office machines (e.g., transcribing equipment, calculators).
