Jobs@NewLife-Mission.org New Life Mission is looking for a highly motivated, detail-orientated person to serve as an administrative assistant for our growing nonprofit as we continue to help Brevard County mothers with children permanently break the cycle of homelessness. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and organizational support to the development team. The development team is responsible for fundraising, recruiting volunteers, coordinating events and sharing the message of New Life Mission with the community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSAdministrative Support
- Assist the development team with all necessary administrative needs, including, but not limited to: verbal and written donor communications, Donor Perfect reports, community engagements, volunteer coordination, and event planning.
- Assist the Transformed Shop Coordinator with the organization and set up of pop-up shops as needed.
- Answer phone calls and return messages in a timely manner
- Utilize phone etiquette that exhibits enthusiasm for the ministry
- Help with In-house mailings
- Handle situations in a discreet manner, maintaining program confidentiality
- Respond to staff and donor requests in a timely manner
- Display professional appearance in accordance with organization policy
- Document processes and procedures as created
- Become proficient in donor management software and run all reports as needed.
- Staff meeting prep – organize staff celebrations, snacks or lunch as needed
- Organize RSVPs for events using Excel and event planning platform
- Assist the development department team with event prep and the successful execution of all events for which the development team is responsible
- Other duties as assigned by CEO or Director of Development
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Experienced with donor management software
- Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently with direction
- Comfortable and adept with cell phone technology for texting, email, calendar etc.
- Full-time position located in Melbourne, FL
