Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing professional customer service, administrative, and technical support to the staff of the Resource Center. The Administrative Assistant functions as a team member of the Administrative Department of the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center (Resource Center). Duties include providing administrative support and assistance to the assigned department manager(s), supervisor(s), and staff. The Child Welfare Resource Center operates in a hybrid work approach where work can be completed remotely, in the Mechanicsburg office, and in the field as necessary and appropriate. Time for this position is estimated as 55% remote work, 40% in the Mechanicsburg office, and 5% in the field. Typical field travel required will be statewide throughout the Commonwealth. A combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered for University guidelines. A valid driver’s license is required.
Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations preferred. A commitment to achieving equity and inclusion in the child welfare system is a must. High School diploma/GED plus one year post-secondary education school with concentration in office operations and/or a secretarial/business program. A minimum of three years’ experience performing general administrative duties in a business environment. A combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered for University guidelines. Excellent interpersonal, writing, customer service, and computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 required. A valid driver’s license is required.
