Simpson Reinforcing is a rebar fabricator what has been in business for over 50 years. The foundation of our business was built on customer service that has allowed us to maintain long-term relationships with our customers. We are looking for an independent, detail-oriented employee to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Accounting Department on administrative tasks for the company.
- Greeting Customers and Visitors at the front entrance.
- Answering and directing phone calls.
- Shipping small packages through USPS, UPS, and/or FEDEX.
- Order Office Supplies.
- Prepare, post, and record customer payments and transactions according to accounts receivable.
- Create invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
- Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- Creates reports regarding current status of customer accounts as requested.
- Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the accounting department.
- Collaborates with accounting department to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.
- Assists if generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
- Assists accounting department in reconciling the accounts monthly.
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
- Process Credit checks or inquires on new and existing customers.
- Process Credit card transactions from customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software and ability to learn our accounting software.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment such as computers, printers/copiers, calculators, and fax machines.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
