The Opportunity | Administrative Assistant
Curtiss-Wright EMD is searching for an Administrative Assistant to support its EMD Business Unit. This role will perform administrative support functions for assigned personnel which broaden skills, competencies and adds value to the division.
Your Challenge:

Maintain a professional and mature demeanor and conduct especially during interactions with both internal and external customers.

Design and develop effective and efficient methods to track high priority actions for projects and programs to ensure the continuous functions of administrative process and organization objectives.

Compose complex technical correspondence with material needed for the execution of programs and projects in an accurate and timely manner.

Locate, assemble and prepare all written presentation material using multiple data sources.

Coordinates administrative and logistical details associated with day-to-day operations to support Manager of Department and staff.

Perform a high level of administrative duties which may be complex and include travel arrangements, travel itineraries agenda and completing expense reports in a timely manner.

Anticipate, prepare and compile materials for conferences and meetings on own initiative.

Proactively share work which focuses on division priorities which may occasionally be at the expense of current group priorities including coverage for vacation and all other absences.

Define, develop and implement processes which could streamline processes within the department to improve efficiencies.
Your Expertise:
-
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance.

High school graduate required. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.

2+ years of work experience performing an administrative role.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-
Detail oriented with the ability to learn on the fly.

Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office software/products:
-
Advanced Power Point skills i.e., develop presentations with limited instructions, insert graphs, animation, etc.

Advanced Excel skills, i.e., create pivot tables, write advanced formulas.
-
Advanced Word skills, i.e., draft letter correspondence, insert/edit page numbers, mail merges.

Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
