We are Vaco Orange County, a leading recruitment agency that specializes in placing top talent in various industries. We are currently looking for an accounts receivable clerk for one of our clients, a large company in Irvine.
As an accounts receivable clerk, you will be responsible for:
- Posting customer payments by recording cash, checks and credit card transactions
- Updating receivables by totaling unpaid invoices and verifying discrepancies
- Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits
- Reconciling accounts and resolving any issues with customers or vendors
- Preparing financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
- Assisting with audits and tax filings
- Supporting the accounting, finance and sales departments with other tasks as needed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping or related field
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
- Excellent data entry and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- A degree or certificate in accounting is preferred
