Accounting Specialist

GENERAL PURPOSE
Perform a variety of bookkeeping and accounting duties in support of daily, monthly, and yearly accounting activities and projects. Apply established procedures in the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records. Ensure accurate accounting records; research and resolve discrepancies. Prepare financial, statistical, production, and/or technical reports. Demonstrate proficiency of bookkeeping accounting principles, but not at the skill and knowledge level of a fully trained accountant.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Distribution, route approve coding of non-PO invoices in SAP
- Research and resolve any accounts payable issues prior to invoice payment
- Resolve routine discrepancies
- Reconcile vendor statements and/or account totals
- Reconcile and resolve open and past due vendor receipts
- Review open PO report and resolve past due PO's
- Establish new vendor account set up
- Assistvendors with Taulia system
- Communicate with plants and vendors when necessary
- Work with customers on settling fluid load outs
- Ensure compliance with DFA policies and procedures

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Office or related experience, including experience using various types of computers systems
- 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or inventory management preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of company computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especiallyExceland SAP
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Able to multi-task and problem solve
- Able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Able to manage multiple various projects with sense of urgency
- Able to handle challenging or conflict situations with tact and professionalism
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy

- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
PAY AND BENEFITS:
- Non-exempt, 40 hours per week, $18.00-$23.00 per hour
- Based out of Greeley for training with potential for remote work (supporting plants located in Fort Morgan, CO, & Beaver, UT)
